Designed around a rugged bare-tube bundle shell and tube layout, B-1003-C6-O provides practical cooling performance for fluid power applications. Its construction centers on a one-pass shell and tube layout with a 5.13-inch diameter shell, 27-inch shell length, and approximately 32.75-inch overall length. Material selection for this configuration includes a Brass hub, Brass shell, 0.375-inch Copper tubes, Cast Iron bonnets, and optional zinc protection. For operating capability, the design is rated for 250 PSI shell-side pressure, 150 PSI tube-side pressure, and 350°F maximum temperature. These exchangers are frequently applied to hydraulic oil cooling, lubrication circuits, and general industrial heat rejection. Material options such as copper nickel tubes, bronze bonnets, and zinc anodes expand its usefulness in harsher water conditions.
