Its construction centers on a four-pass shell and tube layout with a 5.13-inch diameter shell, 27-inch shell length, and approximately 32.65-inch overall length. Construction includes a Brass hub, Brass shell, 0.375-inch Copper Nickel cooling tubes, Cast Iron end bonnets, and included zinc anodes. For operating capability, the design is rated for 250 PSI shell-side pressure, 150 PSI tube-side pressure, and 350°F maximum temperature. The B/SB platform is commonly used for hydraulic power units, lube oil systems, and general industrial cooling duty. With copper nickel tube, bronze bonnet, and zinc options available, the series can also support more corrosion-conscious applications.
