Its construction centers on a four-pass shell and tube layout with a 6.13-inch diameter shell, 18-inch shell length, and approximately 24.59-inch overall length. Material selection for this configuration includes a Brass hub, Brass shell, 0.25-inch Copper Nickel tubes, Cast Iron bonnets, and optional zinc protection. For operating capability, the design is rated for 250 PSI shell-side pressure, 150 PSI tube-side pressure, and 350°F maximum temperature. The B/SB platform is commonly used for hydraulic power units, lube oil systems, and general industrial cooling duty.
