Designed around a rugged bare-tube bundle shell and tube layout, B-1203-C4-T provides practical cooling performance for fluid power applications. It uses a two-pass configuration with a 6.13-inch shell diameter, a 27-inch shell length, and about 32.96 inches overall. Material selection for this configuration includes a Brass hub, Brass shell, 0.25-inch Copper tubes, Cast Iron bonnets, and optional zinc protection. Operating limits are 250 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 350°F maximum temperature. The B/SB platform is commonly used for hydraulic power units, lube oil systems, and general industrial cooling duty. Material options such as copper nickel tubes, bronze bonnets, and zinc anodes expand its usefulness in harsher water conditions.
